Cool Facts About The Cast of Twilight

The “Twilight” phenomenon has created a lot of buzz all over the world. Tweens go crazy every time they hear the names Edward, Jacob or Bella. To all Twihards out there, the following are some facts about your favorite movie/book series that may interest you.

  1. Kristin Stewart says that her favorite thing about playing the role of Isabella Swan is having the chance to kiss Edward Cullen. That is why a lot of girls envy her. She was only 17 years old when the first installment in the Twilight Saga was shot. She was discovered when she was doing a Christmas pageant for her elementary school. She was only 8 years old at that time. What a very lucky girl.
  2. The Twilight series is written by Stephenie Meyer using Bella’s perspective. The author began writing another version of the first novel, this time from Edward’s perspective. Unfortunately, somebody who has access to Meyer’s works leaked some chapters of the novel into the World Wide Web. She has stopped working on the project in the meantime, and she even posted the leakage on her own website.
  3. There really is a town called Forks in Washington. Ever since the movie was released, over a hundred of Twilight fans visit this small town everyday. There is a diner named “Sully’s Drive-In” that has a Bella Burger on its menu. If you order this special meal, you get a pair of plastic vampire teeth!
  4. Stephenie Meyer mentioned on her website that she listened to the songs of Billy Joel, Radiohead, Linkin Park, Coldplay and Dido when she was writing the manuscript of Twilight. Cool choice of songs, huh?
  5. Stephenie Meyer originally wrote Twilight under the working title, Forks. It is a real town that occupies only a small area in the state of Washington. That is why the tourism industry of this place sky rocketed right after the success of the Twilight books and film.
  6. Robert Pattinson aspires to be a rock star. His songs are actually part of the official soundtrack of Twilight.
  7. A lot of men wanted to play the role of Edward Cullen in Twilight. Thousands of them auditioned for the part which eventually went to Robert Pattinson. Smallville star Tom Welling was a popular choice back then to play Edward.
  8. On the night of June 2, 2003, Stephenie Meyer dreamed of vampires and werewolves and humans co-existing in a small town somewhere on earth. That is how she came up with the books.
  9. Bella used to be a not-so-attractive girl in her old High School. But when she moved to Forks, she became a popular hottie. Stephenie Meyer said that she was like Bella in a way. She was never a head turner until she went to college.
  10. Bella used to live with her mom in Phoenix, Arizona. Her parents are divorced. She moved to Forks with her dad when her mom decided to travel around the country with her new husband. Stephenie Meyer was also originally from Phoenix.
  11. During the early stages of her writing, Meyer did not have a name for the Edward and Bella characters. She just used “he” and “she” until she was able to think of names for them.
